Future Street Anti Slavery Policy Statement
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. Modern slavery is a global phenomenon that is both inter and intra-national, affecting an estimated 45 million people worldwide. There is no typical victim, though it is often more prevalent amongst the most vulnerable, and within minority or excluded groups.
Future Street Smart Waste Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls, to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, and expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. As part of our contracting processes, we include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect and require that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
The Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, suppliers and business partners, all of whom have a duty to comply with this and other policies designed to prevent modern slavery.
Future Street has in place the following policies and practices that describe its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations.

- Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy and procedure; reiterating our stance against all forms modern slavery, the policy outlines our procedures and processes which are designed to guard againstthe occurrence of modern slavery or human trafficking in our business operations and supply chain;
- Whistleblowing blowing policy and procedure; Future Street is committed to conducting its business with honesty and integrity and we expect all staff to maintain highest standards in accordance with our policies and procedures. A culture of openness and
accountability is essential in order to prevent illegal, unethical behaviour or wrongdoing occuring and such culture of openness and accountability is further required to ensure Future Street can address such situations when they do occur. - Future Street insists on ethical standards from all of our suppliers. Suppliers are required to confirm that they provide safe working conditions where necessary, treat workers with dignity and respect, and act ethically and within the law in their use of labour.
We have not been made aware of any human trafficking or slavery activities within the supply chain but if any were highlighted to us then we would act immediately in accordance with our legal and moral obligations.
